As we delve into the heart of summer, July brings with it a new and delightful challenge for our Block of the Month. This month, we are excited to present a charming 4"x5" finished block featuring a cozy house design, perfect for utilizing those cherished fabric scraps we all collect. Join us as we explore the artistry of quilting through this whimsical and customizable pattern, fostering creativity and community spirit among our members.

CUT FABRIC

  • Roof: 4.5" x 2.5"

  • Sky: 2 qty 2.5" squares

  • House: 2 qty 2" x 2.5" and 1 qty 1.5" x 4.5"

  • Door: 1.5" x 2.5"

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Mark a diagonal line on both square sky pieces

  2. Sew one, then the other square to roof rectangle

  3. Assemble the lower door and house section

  4. Press each side

  5. sew all three sections together, press again

  6. You are done!
